Rally TT Vodafone Estoril-Portimao-Marrakech 2010, Day 2...

Now through the end of SS 4 and 378km into the race the rate of attrition has picked up. 39 entries began the event in the premier class and now only 31 remain. While Felipe Campos remains in the lead with his BMW X3 and Leonid Novitskiy has moved into third in his X3, Helder Oliveira has grabbed 2nd overall in his Pathfinder. Helder now runs 12:12 behind Campos and 10:51 ahead of Novitskiy thanks to Eric Van Loon missing a major turn and Miguel Barbosa had engine problems. Eric Vigouroux has continued his solid pace and sits in 6th in his American made Chevrolet Silverado as he hopes to make up time in the desert terrain of Africa which should favor his vehicle. Fingers crossed for continued luck for Oliveira as Nissan could certainly use a solid result in this event!
