BBR: Brief Beer Review...

Mmmm...a lovely IPA this is...

The Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA is an excellent introduction to IPAs.  Yes, its hoppy but not overly so.  Bitter without being distastefully so while maintaining a medium level of carbonation.

This is a wonderful tasting beer and could be consumed in large quantities if it weren't for its substantial alcohol content (6%).  It finishes clean with the proper IPA aftertaste and smells heavenly.

A tad expensive for what it is--$9+ at my local store, it is still worth it for the quality of beverage this represents.  I understand that Dogfish Head also makes a 75, 90 and 120 Minute IPA (increasing in "hop" flavor as you go up) that I would be willing to try in the future but the 60 Minute IPA found here is a wonderful balance for those looking for a light-ish IPA.
