Arcade Fire vs. Rush for Suburban Supremacy...

I have heard Arcade Fire on the radio numerous times but now may have to go out and buy some of their stuff.

Coming from the Great White North like another favorite band of mine (Rush), Arcade Fire recently won a Grammy (not that that is a sign of talent or good music) and is now having its lyrics compared to and analyzed side by side with the Rush song "Subdivisions".

I will pick up Arcade Fire's "new" album The Suburbs and add an "album review" post on it to the site in the near future.

get "Funeral" (2004) first man, much better of an album. "The Suburbs" contains some great tunes but generally is an overhyped record with some extremely weak songs on it. I'll burn you copies of both if you want.

I have heard the same things...I will pick up both--no need to burn copies, I still like to have my own originals. I'm old school that way I guess. Give me something physical and tangible...

I'm exactly the same way- decided it's an old-fart 90's thing. Not many of us left. When you come down in April I'll take you to once of the greatest record stores I've ever seen right near my town.
