Cobb Tuning GT-R Takes NJ Red Line Time Attack...

Nissans in general and the Cobb Tuning Nissan GT-R in particular had an excellent early spring weekend at the Red Line Time Attack event at the New Jersey Motorsports Park.

Trey Cobb finished 4th in his Cobb Tuning 370z, four seconds behind the winning BMW M3 in the Fontana Nissan Enthusiast RWD Class.

Joseph Richichi finished 2nd with his '04 350z, five seconds behind the '05 Lotus Elise winner in the Buddy Racing Street Tire RWD Class.

Dave Hary grabbed a 2nd place in his '95 Nissan S-14, seven seconds adrift of the winning '98 Corvette in the Cobb Tuning RWD Modified Class.

The Cobb Tuning Modified Class was won by Brian Lock and his Cobb Tuning GT-R in a time of 1:06:768 which was also the fastest lap of any car on the day.

The Super Modified RWD class was taken by a '97 Nissan 240SX driven by Jeff Ricca

Lock returned later in the day to take the head-to-head modified session, besting the '98 Vette of Ross Miller by three seconds.

So three class wins and two seconds for the Nissans at this event mixing a bit of the old and a bit of the new models. Well done all around.
