Here we have the Suzuki Ignis and the Suzuki Jimny.
The Ignis is the more "crossover" like and possesses here the license plate ending in 420. The Ignis was produced by Suzuki (and GM, under the Chevrolet Cruze nameplate in some foreign markets) from '00-'08.
None of these ever made it to US shores, thank god, as its either 1.3L or 1.5L engines and bland 3 or 5 door layouts would have been a sales, critical disaster here.
Far more interesting is the Jimny. Tracing its roots back to 1968, still being produced today and actually having been sold in the US under the Suzuki Samurai name for a number of years before slow sales and a hammering from consumer groups forced its end here.
Elsewhere however the Jimny has soldiered on and what you are looking at here is its newest iteration, still featuring a true 4-low setting and locking hubs. Also available is a small 1.4L turbo diesel engine.
