Gotta credit my father for this one. Knowing my interest in Nissans he came across this picture and forwarded it to me from one of his military history books. As the caption states this is a 2.5 ton Nissan 80 truck used during WWII and was the first mass produced truck in Japan. Also with the anti-aircraft weapon in the rear it shows that Japanese trucks have been used to create what in known in modern military parlance as a "technical" for more than 60 years and is not a creation of Afghanistan/Somalia/Iraq/etc.
