Entering Stage 8, after the mid-point break in the action for a "rest-day" there are two Nissan's in the top 10. Krzysztog Holowczycz holds down 6th place, just behind Robby Gordon and his Hummer team and Ivar Eric Tollefsen is in 7th. Both are solidly in place with little chance of dropping down positions unless they encounter major difficulties. For two privateer teams they are performing amazingly and garnering a ton of attention from sponsors and competitors. With the El Dakaro only about 1/2 over there is still a chance for them to move up in the standings (or down) and we will keep our fingers crossed for the best!!
